He's playing very well with the other dogs at the foster farm. Casper (due to the large amount of white on his body) is a peppy good natured boy who could not tolerate the kennel. Please, if you are interested in this boy contact Jane Carter at the shelter, 505-382-0018 extension 119 or by emails: rescue@zianet.com or tikac@zianet.com |

Did Casper get adopted? |
Yes. The lady who was going to take Jack, before he showed himself to be a biter, took Casper. I haven't heard directly, but rather through a third party, he is doing well.
Arizona rescue does have a young dog just into rescue. Pat Wolter....you can get her name of the NEOESR rescue contacts. The dog still needs to be neutered, vetted, etc and observed for about 4 weeks to determine any bad behavior......like Jack surprised me with. sheepieboss |
Just heard from Casper, now Wolfe's new owners. He came with kennel cough (common for that shelter) so was housed for a week with a brother in law. Now in his furever home, he adores the mini doxies and the cat and they in return.
One problem, he damaged his tail in the shelter by banging it against the kennel side to where it had to be bandanged. Alas, now he won't leave it alone..........so he's going to be docked, er amputated. While this gives me shivers, better a vet do the procedure than to have him or the doxies chewing on it all the time. I can see how he got the name Casper.........he had a lot of white, just like Jack who was also from that same breeder. |
