Caitlyn's First REAL Dog Show!!! - THE VIDEO!!!
At the 3:25 mark, Caitlyn and I enter the ring and make our first lap. Upon finishing the lap, our always observant Caitlyn spies her Mommy in the crowd… And she started to go a bit bonkers. It was like she was saying, very loudly, ‘MOMMY!!! LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK WHERE I AM!! MOMMY, LOOK!!!’. The judge was very understanding through it all. When she asked if that was her Mommy over there, all I could do was ask, ‘How can you tell?’ She then very politely suggested that Mommy should move and this is when the vantage point of the camera changes by shifting to the left. Caitlyn however, could still see the Mommy and was still pretty insistent on wanting to talk to her some more. One thing that I must say is that right before she started into her little Mommy tirade, she was nearly perfectly stacked... than the fireworks started. Enjoy. God knows we did on Sunday! Vance |

| Caitlin has improved so much from the Columbus puppy match, just keep working at it. And you cleaned up pretty well, too! Could barely distinguish you from Derek, and he's taken quite a few dogs around the ring. Great job, everyone!  |
That was so fun to watch - thanks Jen for running the camera, and Vance for posting!  They all looked great out there...lucky judge! Does Jen come to conformation class with you and Caity?......she should! That will help Caity get used to Jen there and not get such "mommy!" excitement.  Or if schedules don't work - do some practice at home with Jen in the vicinity and walking around, etc. She doesn't want to have to hide at shows (and usually backfires, as they look all around..."I know she's here somewhere"), and we want her to be able to take pics and video. |

| Great video, very helpful for me to watch. We start our handling class in April. This dog thing is so humbling. Herding was humbling, agility was humbling, I daresay showing will be too! Nice to know that there are other people out there learning too. I love Caitlyn's spirit! |

| Having a mentor is GREAT. Having a mentor able to go over you on video is SPECTACULAR!!! I got so many tips and suggestions from Marilyn, I honestly cannot wait for the next show. We have four conformation classes and a puppy match between now the next show and that will just get me even more stoked!!! Vance |
