With highs in the 60s, we've already broken a few records. And there's no plan to stop. They're talking 71 on Sunday and 76 on Monday. I've opened my bedroom window, I wore shorts after work yesterday, and Bricky's been panting more (still in his winter coat). I can't have him in my room with me because he makes too much noise panting & shakes the bed while panting. I've been sending him out to the kitchen where he can lie on the cooler tiles. He doesn't seem to mind. He actually came back in the bedroom at about 3 AM but didn't jump on the bed. He just laid on the floor. He goes in for his Airecut on April 7th. I'm starting to question if I should move up his appt. |

It's CNY. Expect a snow storm before all is said and done Unusually warm weather here too. Bizarre. Still waiting for the other show to drop... Kristine |
I pretty much got sunburned in the face yesterday while outside with the kids. HATE it. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE IT. |

Too hot here already too.... we've had such a mild winter, and so short, I think this summer is going to be brutally hot. I'm already thinking about putting the air conditioner back in my room. It's already 14 out today (57) |
Yep-- I think Spring has Sprung-- with no winter to speak of. As others before me have said-- bet it's a LONG hot summer. UGH. |
I'm actually all for the warmer weather. I can't stand the winter. I just wish the roads were clean (they're crusted with salt now); I could take the convertible out. |
Records are being broken here as well in MN. High 60's today mid to high 70's thru the week and HIGH HUMIDITY this weekend!!!! I have a feeling also we are going to have a nasty summer. Plus, I think we are going to have some major storms, if you look at what has been happening around this country and other parts of the world. Of course, hail and damaging winds are good for the remodeling business. Just don't want any tornados where there are people (and pets) hurt or worse, nor total losses. |
Mad Dog wrote: It's CNY. Expect a snow storm before all is said and done How true. We're you here for the Blizzard of '93? We got something like 43 inches of snow in 24 hours. That was a lot of snow. And that's why I hesitate about moving Brick's appt up. We WILL get some more cold and snow (I think. Who can tell with this year). |
Guess I'm optimistic, I hung my spring flags out today. We are getting the same warm weather. The 13" of heavy, wet snow we got 2 wks ago is almost all gone, I know in Green Bay they plants are coming up and that could be disasterous if we get more cold/snow in the future. |
I think its been spring in Texas since January!! We really didnt have much of a winter. Trees are all bloomed and flowers are growing. So are the weeds!!. UGH. Speaking of which, quick question-- we have a HOA that is a pain in the butt most of the time, so we have to treat our yards for weeds. But I have 2 wild rabbits that live in my front yard, yes I live in the city in a subdivision but these rabbits are here year round. Anyway they eat me grass, which I dont mind, but since I have to treat the weeds or get a fine I need something safe. I dont want to poision the rabbits. Any ideas??? |
Spring???? HA! I really need a grumpier looking face than this devil-honed one Consider yourself glared at The heater went out (again) in my studio this week. I HAD to finish an order that was due for delivery, so I finished the artwork at my kitchen table, then gritted my teeth and did the framing out in the unheated studio. Did you know that glass cleaner comes out of the can as a SOLID at -10F? I didnt. I do now. Spring comes in May. Which cant possibly come soon enough. |
Ugh, that is still really brutal!!! ....so you don't want to know it's 68 in Minnesota, and I have 2 windows open at work??? |
apricots blooming in the city......usually means at least one more killing frost before the real spring comes. I'm just pleased we are mostly windless right now......60's now, 70's later, but possible snow this weekend.....(probably mtns.) I hate cold, I hate hot, I hate humidity.......LOL! Find me some place to live!!!! |

With the early arrival of spring, do we need to bump the start of heartworm pills earlier? Typically in this area my vet starts them in May. peg |
Brick goes in for his yearly HW test on 3/27. I'll start him back up then when I get the all-clear from the vet. I've kept him on flea control all year. |
Local weather guy says 80 on Tuesday. Why can't the roads be clean!?! |
We have it easy - we never take them off heartworm. We've already had mosquitos and poison ivy issues at school. |
It is 77 here today--and I have my AC going. I am really not happy with this weather--I like the traditional four seasons. I hate that we just have two now! It is just not right! |
I'm doing my HAPPY DANCE!!! I'm loving the nice weather. Windows open here! Unfortunately, we CAN get the (final) snowstorm in April. |
Oh I so dislike all of you.....that live in hot climates..... I'm always bragging that unlike most perceptions of Icy , Snowy , Cold Canada.....where I live on the West Coast it's very mild. Well Sat we had a huge windstorm...power outages to a huge region, then followed with heavy rain. Next day...I awake to a perculiar sound....it's Hailing!!! Then last night a huge windstorm , more fierce than the previous one....this morning SNOW?????? Now, it's a beautiful spring day outside , the snow melted and the sun came out... and all my guys are driving me bonkers as they are doing zoomies...after not wanting to go outdoors for gasp...3 days except for bathroom duties. They are so spoiled! Then again their mom didn't really want to go out there either. |
