Just scored on my rental car for Sheepiepalooza
I was shocked at the pricing for a "standard SUV". Last year I paid around $405 for the Buick Enclave I rented. When I was looking this year, the price soared to $669. WOW!! I figured I have some time, I'll check every day to see if the prices drop. Sure enough, I hit the jackpot today. The "standard SUV" price dropped to $338 out the door. Woo hoo!!  So far the hotel has been less this year (reserved a single queen room) and the rental car has been cheaper. Hopefully I can get a new Grand Cherokee and those get better mileage than the Enclave I rented last year, so maybe gas will even be less (but then again, maybe not as the prices have spike the past few months). We'll see. I would suggest that if anyone is on the fence about coming to Sheepiepalooza because of a vehicle situation, hit up www.hotwire.com and check out the prices. They look excellent today. And if you don't like the price, just keep visiting everyday until you find a price you're comfortable with. |
