Not sure if its normal for dogs to like fish but bloo ADORES fish!.He has tinned tuna, makeral, pilchars, and haddock. When we go agility training the traier wondered why i smelt fishy i said because i have a pile of dead mackeral in my pocket!! LOL She recommened that instead of uusing it like this to make it easier to handle by making it into a mackeral/tuna/whatever fish cake. Egg Oats or flour fish Anyone know any fishy dog recipes i could use for training to make it less messy for me THANKS xx |

You might try to dehydrate it too. Think of it as fish jerky! Vance |
The above recipe works. I've made dog brownies that way with mackerel and salmon (and liver and a few other experiemental things I'd rather forget ). Dogs love it. Only problem is getting it just the right texture. You want it soft so that it is easy to split into tiny pieces. Not so soft it crumbles completely. And not dried out and hard like a biscuit, which is hard to divide into tiny pieces, so you give them bigger pieces and you have to wait for them to finish chewing Kristine - whose pockets frequently smell so fragrant that one of my dogs actually chewed a hole in my pocket just to get the last crumbs, and I was still wearing the pants at the time! |
I know my dogs eat kibble but its fish formula from canada. They love it! They also like salmon dried treats...never attemptd to cook anything "fishy" for them... |
This made me giggle, the thought of you with your pocket full of fish! |
