change in appetite

Our 10 mos. female pup has a slight decline in appetite; she still eats and drinks. Her thirst seems unchanged but eats about 1/2 of the usual amount. Over our very hot summer, we kept in the cool of our large, shady yard and mainly gave her exercise by playing there.

With September offering cooler temps., we began more walking and have enjoyed putting the one kid on a bike, the smaller kid in the all terrain stroller, and us parents on rollerblades and taking our OES along for the fun. She seemed to keep the pace well until last week when my hubby (unbeknowst to me) switched her feeding time from evening to first thing in the morning!? Along with the change in feeding schedule, she seems slower on the outings and had some diarhea for 1.5 days and a little vomitting a couple days later.

I put our pup back to evening feeds; her bowel movements are normal and the vomitting was only for an hour that one evening; but, her appetite has not returned 100% - nor has her energy.

I wonder perhaps if we're over-ambitious with the exercise or could she be in a growth spurt and needing extra rest. She seems happy when we gear up to go out. When we play fetch in the yard, she sprints like a thouroughbred. I really hope it's a combination of the temporary change in schedule and a growth spurt.

Should I be concerned or just watchful?
