She may just be sore from the anal sac being expressed. But another concern, more rare: Perianal fistula: the hair follicles back there can become inflamed and even ooze pus and other stinky. The inflammed tissue drives the dogs nuts like full sacs. Low thyroid is thought to make dogs more prone to this. I'm going to assume the problem is with the sacs......tender. |
HMMMM. She does have low thyroid, that meds aren't helping. I think it started when we upped her meds a couple of weeks ago. I'll keep that in mind Susan. Lisa Frankie and Mattie |
