Wasn't my favorite. Slow, slow start and only got interesting to me in the last fifty pages. So why did I have to go through 600 pages prior??? Salander is quite a character....Tough cookie. I liked her...I think the problem wih the "hard read" was all the Swedish names, nick names, locations, etc. I ahve to admit...I finished and read the preview of the next book, The Girl Who played with Fire...Now, THAT book looked good to me so...I went and got it and I am reading it now. I am finding it way more interesting than the first... |

I just started the third one now. The second one was a better read that the first for sure. |
Three pulls all together........stick with it. Thinking I'll go back and reread them. Have the new JD Robb to read tonight. |

I'm on #3 now as well. I like them and can't wait to see how this all resolves. It seems to flow well as a translated book too - I wonder how it reads in native Swedish? |
The beginning was really slow. I started the book, stopped it, and didn't pick it up again for another 4-5 months. While I enjoyed the first one more than you, the second book, as others have said, is better. So if you're willing, read the second book. I enjoyed them as a trilogy and read them back to back. |
