I don't think it's odd at all. Beau does that sometimes when we walk in the evenings. Last week one night, he was barking at our shadows on a building. I guess he thought there were other people there and he couldn't make them out...so funny! |
Pooh Bear still backs away from mirrors, gets excited and harumphs at his twin that he sees! |
One of the construction workers placed a piece of plywood outside one of the sliding glass doors. When Sam walked by it, she noticed her reflection in the glass, oh it was so funny watching her watching the "new dog". I wish I had it on video ! |
Hi Darcy,
This is sooooo ironic!! Out of my three dogs only Panda (whom is shown in my avatar) goes crazy over shadows! Hee hee ...two dogs with the same name both with the same nutty quirk! My Panda starts to growl and bark like crazy and of course my friends think I'm a bit nutty saying ohh please move away so he doesn't notice your shadow! Marianne |
Marianne....I hear you!!! Why do you think theyre so skittish? She is not afraid of the mirror..She plays with the "puppy" in the mirror...only shadows...she did it again last nite when Brian and I took her for a walk...he cracked up...also a fire truck went by and she hid between his legs, although I think that was because of the engine noise...no sirens were going....wacky dog |
Hi Again,
My Panda seems to be really sensitive to certain high pitch noises ...urg ...fire engines, motorcycles driving by, high pitched kids screams ...he throws up when he hears fire crackers. Poor boy! His quirk about the shadows, however, is the one that makes me chuckle...sigh It was nice to hear there is another nutty dog out there like him. Yours is so beautiful by the way! Ahhh musta been cute to see her hide under her daddy's legs...just got to love their funny little quirks. Marianne and the boys |
