I have a roller on my mouse and I use that all the time. The problem is that everything kinda lags behind, slow and jerky. I had no problems on here...until the facebook "like" appeared on top. I do a cleanup several times a week to try to make it stop. It doesn't work. Its driving me nuts. |

Sounds like you have a FB app running in the background that kicks on at start-up; it's eating up memory, thus everything lags. You, or someone needs to go into either your startup dir and remove what is there that you don't want or go I to the msconfig to turn it off so it won't start up. We have this happen a lot at work so I've done it often lately. Vance |
Vance, what would you look for in startup. I'm having sort of the same problem with the mouse so looked to see if I could shutdown facebook in startup but don't see it. I don't want to remove something I shouldn't. |
Let's start here... What are you running, Mac or PC? Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7? Vance |
windows xp |
When i come on the forum i use moms computer (Windows XP) I have a laptop which is ( VISTA ) I find the older the system the slower the controls are. On my laptop it takes a minute to log on etc.. on this computer it takes about 5 minutes. It also depends how many people are using the internet in your area, sometimes more people means slower internet. And you may have an outstanding tab that you forgot to shuut down which is making the screen jolt. I have a scroller on my mouse and its never occured with me. I can make a suggestion, but not sure if itll work. H you tried click and holding the scroller on the mouse and dragging mouse up and down, does that work faster??? Ive liked this page 10 times LOL and nothing happened so far. GOOD LUCK |
