Many dog people (self included) in MN travel to a particular clinic especially for doing anesthesia-less OFA hip and elbow xrays. I imagine this is the case elsewhere. Do some research, talk to other dog people and see where they go. |
All my dogs have been done with no anesthesia or even sedation..... there's just no need for it if the dog is calm and well behaved. |
First time around was with anesthesia. Since then always without. A good tech who takes his/her time will get it done. If the dog is in pain though, some relief is suggested. |
