It lead me to http://www.doggonesafe.com/ and even MORE great information! and then to... http://www.liamjperkfoundation.org/ ...which was a great site...very sad, tragic story but a good one to read... All of these were wonderful resources and tools to use and they backed up what I knew in my head and what I was reminded and taught by our wonderful OES members in my thread regarding Pru and Piper. It is just nice to be able to ask questions without judgement AND have a place to inadvertently lead you to so many helpful sites to learn from. And... mystery solved... Piper is a hugger and I just have to stop the "bear hugs". I have told her not to, but I have not been stern enough, so time to train the upright better |

While Cearsar Milan is disliked by many here he does make one point.......it's the human that needs training. Dogs are going to react in certain ways....it's the way they are wired. We are the most flexible member of the pack, we learn why and then learn to redirect action. I'm amazed at my crew's patience as I learn. If you want something fuzzy to snuggle that won't bite, growl, etc , get a stuffy. |
