He hardly ever barks- or gets wound up about anything-- but-- one would think that TWELVE deer running across the back yard- right in FRONT of him-- would cause SOME kind of stir. Nothing. He stood by me, turning his head to look at them as they ran across the yard, and did not make one sound nor did he try to go after them. He watched them run into the woods, went back to the garage. There he stood at the back step with his backside to me, waiting for me to put on his diaper wrap, so he could come in the house. I'd like to hear a bark now and again, just to know he can. |

Wow! I can hardly imagine. Mine go beserk every single day when they see a squirrel or a kitty cat. What a good boy. That is a very nice quality. |
He must have known that the deer were just passing through. What a good boy! |
I would have lost a dog for six deer. Gar would have been after them like a shot. He did that once at the dog park. The fun is in the chase. My two go nuts at people walking past the house, squirrel's romping in the yard and just about anything that moves. |
Max is a good boy |
That's wonderful. Max deserves extra treats for that, it's crazy behavior here too. Just to have the deer scent in the air sends Charm over the top. How old is Max? |
thats great. Mine go nuts when the maillady drives by! Like really crazy, all 3 of them. |
My mil lives in a neighborhood where they're known for all their deer (always one in their yard alllllllllll day), and I can't believe Max can resist. Yuki and their dog cannot resist. They love chasing them. They sit at the window and once they have their eye on them (usually several at once) ...they race to the door for us to let them out. Max must not realize what fun he could be having. That has to be it!!!! |
Good boy Max! |
