Wait, that's not right. Having three sheepdogs is ok. Oh yeah, this is it: Having three sheepdogs with diarrhea! |
|
Poor David...one of those times when "the more, the merrier" doesn't apply Hope they get better soon |
Just be thankful you have paper towels, nature's miracle or something as good, and a working steam cleaner. Or are they doing it on tile? If so... pa---leasse. I'd love diarrhea if it was always on tile Poor babies. Hope their tummies start feeling better fast. |
Let's add vomit to the diarrhea on tile.... Not good for Virginia right now.......try slippery elm and kefir. Worked for Jack who decorated the white rug and newly painted walls. |
ewww and they have full fluffy bums. Bet your cleaning all day. Hope they all feel better soon. |
Gracie is back to normal and so is Mady. I think Virginia is getting there. Thankfully hers is not as bad, as she can't get wet right now, so it is baby wipes only. With Gracie it was from chewing on the dogwood bush. With Mady and Virginia it was from me doing a stupid food switch after being scared by the vet. It really has been a rough week but it is Friday, Gracie and Mady had good poops, so two out of three ain't bad! |
Awww so sorry your girls have not been feeling well. Two very muddy sheepdogs might make you feel better: |
O-M-G!!!! I dont think Ive EVER seen a sheepie that muddy . |
eeeeuuuuuwwwww! Straight into the garage grooming center! |

Someone mentioned to me today, that many dogs have been feeling yucky and having bouts of diarrhea. Their vet told them that because of the warmer winter we have had this year the dogs are picking up 'bugs' in the grass outside. Today was +5*C today...no snow on the ground. makes me wonder? What do others think? peg & howie |

OMG, I hope it was right into the bathtub for those two? Oh they are having so much fun!!!!!!!!! Hope Mady's girls are feeling better soon. What a cleanup job that must have been?? I thought having one sick dog was a challenge??? |
Holy cow!! Val, How did you get them home? Do you have a panel van? I would NEVER let them into even my winter rat. |
I just don't know what I would do!!! It definitely made me smile though! And...David/Kim...only one pup with diarrhea seems bad...I am NOT looking forward to that experience! Bless you both for 3 at one time...that is just more than I think I could handle... I am impressed that you both are still sane. Michael would have moved out by now, not from the dogs and diarrhea but from my mood following that experience |
Yikes, those sheepies look they are having lots of fun! Mady/David...could Virginia's poop problems be from any meds she is takins sine her surgery? I know pain killers can effect the poop .Hope all is better in your house! |
I was wondering about the meds causing it. She is on painkillers but I think tomorrow is her last day. Virginia's was bad today and we can't bathe her, so we are doing our best. Mady still has blood in her stool. Rice and chicken today. On the plus side Gracie is back to normal. Coincidentally she also stopped chewing on the dogwood. Virginia's can be explained by the meds, Gracie by the dogwood, Mady has me the most worried. But they are all bouncy and good natured, which is a good sign. I feel like I am losing training time with Gracie this past week but today I signed up for a puppy class, so hopefully we can catch up. |

They go right into crates on blankets when they come in until they're dry and most of the dirt falls off anyway. No carpet in my house though so it's pretty easy to do a quick mop of the floors (usually with the swiffer wet thing, love swiffer) It's just not feasible to bath them all every time they get dirty this time of year.... I HATE spring LOL |

I HATE spring LOL That is a terrific idea, to crate them, let it dry off, then just give them a good brushing. Our yard is still full of snow, but I will remember this trick when it gets muddy! |
Thursday, I had fifteen kids in my clinic, puking up their toenails. Not all at once, but 2 or 3 at a time. There is a wonderful stomach virus making the rounds in our city. Most of the week, we had 2 or 3 a day. I love my job. This is the reason that all of my work clothes are washable. |
