There was on the news yesterday a 6 yr old and 8 yr old girls lured to a guys car promising them candy. They were on the playground at their apartment complex alone- 6 and 8 and NO adult around. Even though the girls were "taught never to go to a strangers car" they did. They got in the car, the guy exposed himself, they were able to get out of the car and run off. But guess what happened the next day when the news crew went to do story-- the same 6 yr old girl was on the play ground again with NO adult around... the grandmother was "watching her" as she did every day while the mother was at work. Call me crazy but my 6 yr old was never out of site. Anyway I'm thinking these are the people who cant tell the difference between a dog forum and a baby forum----- JMO. |

I think it's because they are in an emotional state and we're a group of caring people and that shines through. They want our advice and/or want to share with us, and I am thrilled that they find US to advise them to go see their doctor instead of some other random place. |
We haven't always been so nice. Now we just ignore it. Often wondered what people think when they end up here, "What the heck does a sheepdog have to do with pregnancy?" |
I dont remember starting a new topic post, but ok.... anyway if they have to go to a dog forum to tell them to see a doctor when they are pregnant then thats pretty scarey. |
Funny I tried to start a new post a few days ago about the tubes tied thread but it didn't work, you must have got mine. I don't know why the original person posted on a dog forum but google's search engines will keep finding it especially if people keep posting on it (and now they'll find this one ). The tubes tied post is one of my favorites I love how it pops up at random moments. I'm a bit sad that lately there have been a few grumpy posts but in a way it represents the web for me ..... a random collection of disparate topics being commented on by a broad range of people with a seemingly broader range of opinions that start at sensible and end up somewhere else entirely. Sometimes I wish the web (not the forum) was a bit less judgemental but that's democracy for you. |
Years ago, a member here had this...um...issue in their personal life and as many of us do, posted about it here. Weirdly, there don't appear to be a lot of resources on the web for people with this problem, so google keeps sending them HERE I really love it when someone leaves a message on those threads (yes...there are more than one!) admitting that while it didn't actually help them, it did provide a much needed laugh! |
The google's search engines works like a net boomerang, then.....not much to do about it? |
