I have learned some general things about what to expect, his medication regiment at this point and feel pretty comfortable with all that. He is soooo food motivated that anything that is offered to go into his mouth is eagerly received, therefore, giving the meds is not an issue at all. whew... What I'm looking for is some experienced thoughts and advice on what to look out for, what to expect in the future and if you have learned of any less common approaches or treatments that might be of value to explore with our vet. Also Mo's demeanor is very mellow and sloooooow - wondering if that has to do with the disorder and/or the meds? He is also physically very clumsy, falling over his own feet and repeatedly falling off the couch or bed etc. He is very kind but indifferent to people and other dogs, which is very unlike my previous OES's. He's a totally sweet and loveable, but just wanting to understand where some this might be coming from and how much of it may be his s.o. Thanks in advance! Salla. |

I replyed in your other thread to some of your answers. About your sheepie being indifferent, i think its probably his personality. My hound we call him special, well cuz he is....he is far from the smartest dog or the most active. Loves his food and is now overweight. Is dog selective (most of the time down right dog agressive) and loves people. Did i mention how special he is? Gideon has 3 different types of seizures...peite mal, grand mal and silent. He is off the medication and has been for a yr thanks to a good diet and exersise but if he has more than one seizure a month he has to go back on pheno perm. It kills the liver and i hope it doesnt come to that. If you have any more questions feel free to pm me |
