PANDA IS NOT A SLURPER, HOWEVER, SHE WILL ONLY DRINK OFF THE SIDE OF HER BOWL. SHE DOES NOT DRINK FROM THE CENTER, SO I HAVE HAD TO PUT A TOWEL WITH A PLASTIC TRAY UNDERNEATH HER BOWL BECAUSE AS SHE DRINKS, SHE PUSHES HALF THE WATER OUT OF HER BOWL....BIG WET MESS..THEN SHE LIKES TO GO TO THE SOFA TO TRY TO WIPE HER FACE...GROSS...I KEEP A TOWEL NEXT TO THE SOFA TO GET TO HER BEFORE SHE GETS TO MY SOFA!!!! |
Ah, but have you had a pearl diver? One of my early girls could bury her nose under water to drink. I have no idea how she managed to drink, but at least she never had dog food stuck on her nose. |
Zoey doesn't slurp, but she loves to stomp the water while she drinks it. It's really nuttly looking. As she's gulping water from her bowl she starts whacking the water with her right paw. Is she testing the depth ? is she far-sighted and needs to feel the water ? is she simply trying to imitate a bear ? or is she just trying to kill 2 birds with one stone by drinking and making a water mess at the same time ? |
My girls don't slurp, but they have a tendency to flip the bowl. Instead of cleaning it up off the floor, theu make a mess of it and spread it around and then want more, in the bowl |
