our first year with our OES, Plum

So sorry we've stayed away so long. Not sure if anyone remembers us but I adopted an 11 month OES about a year ago We renamed her Plum. She has really become a wonderful part of our lives. I hope to post more because she is reaching 2 yrs old and because of her breeding I am finding some developing physical problems and may need some advice. I have to thank the inexperienced woman who could not handle such a lovely, giving, selfless, watchful, protecting, loyal, smart, funny friend. I am also thankful Plum chose us as her home. Personally, I would've run the other way... . This has been an exciting year of growing for all of us. I hope to update you all as best I can. I can't wait to see what all of you have been up to as well! Happy New Year ALL!!!

So happy for the update on your family and Plum. We are looking forward to seeing all of you at Sheepiepalooza :crossed: Miss Plum is the lucky one too. Happy New Year!
Joey knows that Plum is only ON-LOAN to her

,,,,until.....(and I hope it is a very long time)...Pearl decides to leave us.

When this sorowful event happens..I am stealing her from my oldest~~~~ What can she do to me ????? :D :D :D

Plum is such a bouncy, joyful sheepie~~~ She loves her kids and is VERY protective of Joey...If her DH tries to snuggle with her, Plum with bark and get in between them. I really think she will do great in Rally and Agility...and of course she would be the perfect TOUCH dog~~~~ :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
Developing physcial problems? Not good for agility? Then such a "mean, nasty, ill humored" dog should probably go into TOUCH or other care function where her she would shine.
Joey, your Plum is a lucky girl, and you are her lucky family! :hearts: :hearts:

I hope nothing serious is going on with her, and of course to see you all in May!!
Joey is having skin issues with Plum......She is getting crusties in certain parts of her body, under her arms, on her belly a few on her back.

She is treating it with cream and giving her Bendryl..We are hoping it is just a phase, and will outgrow it!!!!

:plead: :plead: :plead: :plead:
Plum may very well outgrow her skin problems. We experienced crusties with Millie on her bottom and then her back. They would appear as her adult coat was growing in and she was biting too much to ease the itchiness.

Haven't seen any for the last couple of months. :D I think we are past it.....and hope you will be soon!

Can't wait to see Plum again. She is such a sweetheart.
Loved the update on Plum- she is a lucky girl to have you! Look forward to seeing you at Sheepiepalooza.

Baxter went through a phase with some crusty outbreaks under his arms and on his tummy when he was around 2 yrs. old, we tried different things and the vet even put him on antibiotics for awhile-- when we finally changed his food he cleared up. Took about 6 months after the food change and he hasn't had any since.
:clappurple: Thanks for the update on Plum!
Great to hear she is doing so well!

Hopefully, the skin clears up soon for you!
Nice to hear from you guys!
How can it only be a year since Plum came to you? Feels like forever, and I mean that in a good way! And every time I hear the word PLUM, I think of your pink-haired girl!
