Can anyone recommend a product that will moisturize and remedy his cracked paws without making them dangerously soft? I'm tempted to use Vaseline or Bag Balm but I'm wondering if there's anything specifically made for dogs. Thanks for your help! |

There are numerous things made for dogs. Most any dog healthcare line has their own product, as well as there are some name brand ones out there. If you visit your local pet place, there is bound to be something available, especially this time of year. Also tons online as well. Bag Balm is OK, would avoid vaseline (petroleum based) http://musherssecret.net/ Also - one thing to think about is the fact that if you start putting stuff on their feet, they are likely going to lick them more, causing more cracking and dryness. Know your dog and watch for this if you decide to pursue it. |

Anyone know of any paw creams with an anti-itch aspect to it? Luna was on some prescription food that had tons of grain in it. She usually eats a grain free diet, so she had a really bad allergic reaction. The vet finally took her off it, and despite using benadryl she's still licking them to the point of being soaked. If I see her do it, I can get her to Leave It. But she'll go hide and lick them where I can't see her. Any suggestions for something topical to help her out? |
Just saw this at Cherrybrook http://www.cherrybrook.com/index.cfm/a/ ... Paw_Butter |
