Kim just stepped on the puppy :)

Got a call from Kim, saying this. Gracie seems fine, but I just want to record it here for posterity in case it comes in handy in any future custody cases.

To sum up:
Times Kim has stepped on the puppy: 1
Times David has stepped on the puppy: 0

LOL did you knock on wood b/c I can predict your future here.

Poor Kim. ...with someone who wants to keep record of her accidental fur abuse.
Oh no...this could be interesting....

Kim Kim Kim

NEVER admit things. blame them on the dogs, or the neighbor's kids... NEVER own up yourself!

having said that - my son- (really it WAS my son) stepped on our mini poodle as a puppy and I think he may
vertebrae out of wack.... he kind of runs on a bit of an angle? that's the only reason I can think of why?

anyway, doesn't hurt him or anything but it's interesting trying to figure out if that is the reason....

David. that was just plain mean. As was the scorpion comment. I'm sending you some spiders for Christmas.
wait- you probably like THOSE too!!!! :sidestep:
I've broken a few toes in my time..........dogs' toes.
I called David for sympathy, after having checked poor Gracie out (I swear she was clear across the room, how does she move so fast??). David's response was: 'Well, don't do that!'. Yeah, thanks dear, that helps.
Okay you two I'll put this in hockey terms so it is plain and simple to understand.

This is your only "refs warning". Stepping on puppies is a flagrant violation of all the puppy game ground rules. The penalty for this sort the minor game infraction is two days of Gracie coming for refuge at Uncle Carl's and will be called for all further offences. Unless the puppy cries out then it is a double minor penalty (4 days for Gracie at Uncle Carl's). Actually hurting the puppy is a five day major penalty and repeat offenses are subject to 10 or even 20 day misconduct penalties depending on severity. So consider the "riot act appropriately read".

Really glad the little tyke is sufficiently rough, tough and tumble to come out of it okay and yes Kim they can be so much quicker than you could imagine at this age. (Ask me about Virgil zipping under the back yard gate when he was 9 weeks old even though I was guarding against exactly that!)

Thanks and Cheers

Carl
First Kim, don't ever tell on yourself, (self preservation) Pearl and Gracie can get together and swap stories of being stepped on by the Mom. (Mum) Pearl is white and my kitchen floor is white....I've stopped counting the accidental encounters of foot and paw/tail, I will add however, Pearl will soon be 17 and seems to have survived all of our encounters so far.

Stealth!! George is only twelve weeks and already nearly knocking me over when he runs full speed at the back of my legs...
Did you never step on Mady? I step on C and trip over him too
Nice try, Carl! I can see that a few cuddles from our Gracie girl has you a bit broody for a puppy of your own! Hmm, maybe we should send her over to you at night time so that we can sleep!

I don't remember ever stepping on Mady. Mind you, it is hard to step on a puppy when you are hovering anxiously over it. I am amazed that Mady survived me and I hope that Gracie appreciates how well Mady trained me.
I've come to realize that although sheepies look big and bumbling...they are actually part ninja 8)

I can't even begin to count the number of times I've tripped over, bumped into or stepped on Izzie and Tay. They are so quick and quiet that I don't even know they are there. Sometimes I'm even listening specifically for them and think they aren't there....then BAM I turn around and I'm tripping over them or they scare the bejesus out of me :twitch:

Fortunately they are pretty tough...and probably spend hours laughing about my antics when I am out

my cats do the same thing - now I've got three fluffballs trying to trip me up :twitch: Although one of my cats pushed me down the stairs... yup that's the story I'm sticking to...

(he was laying flat on the top step of the stairs and I stood on him and fell down. He was okay, I was sore)

We all want you to have a puppy to step on! Well, you know what I mean. Not actually step on, but at least have a puppy to side step around! :wag:
