I was thinking bageridge park/himley but mom said they arent motorway accesable. So how about next year (2012) we all go to the beach!! Llandudno west shore is brill and ive heard barmath and borth are good too!!(I think i spelt them wrong ) I live in the west midland slap bang in the middle so im just as far away to the coast as everyone else lol No dates or months set, im just thinking how many people would be up for it?? Bloo loves the beach and the sea in Llandudno. The beach/coast makes a change from a field Will post next year too, i think it would be great! love sam xx |

Hi Sam, Happy New Year! Tuesday and I really enjoyed meeting up with you and Bloo and the other sheepies that made it to Birmingham earlier this year. We'd love another playdate, so count us in! (Weekends or school holidays are best for us!) Edited to say - lots of beaches don't allow dogs on them in the peak season (May-October!) It would be worth checking first! |
We enjoyed birmingham play date too!! Just thought the beach is something different and we could all take a picnic or something. I know west shore in llandudno is good for dogs, but not sure if it is closed :/ My auntie lives near there so i will phone and ask her she will know. There is a doggy beach down barmouth, and lots of people take them down their in summer camping etc... I thought summer as its warmer, i suppose april is just as warm?? What do you all think? We will have to do some doggy beach research Does anybody know any good beaches in UK???? |
Yes I live over the road from one But it's a bit far for most to travel .That's why I can't make Birmingham |
Sam, I was in Llandudno this fall and wouldn't that have been wonderful if I had seen a bunch of frolicing on the beach |
That would have been awesome! Ive done some research, llandudno west shore is ok in summer, if we go there my aunties dog shadow can come too! Its the main beach in llandudno which doesnt allow dogs. There are doggy beaches in devon but thats miles away! Barmouth is supposed to be good too, so is borth.... I dont know anywhere else not too far away for everyone. love from sam xx I loved the last sheepie day, bloo would love to see you all again. lol |
I'm game, as long as I know far enough in advance so that I can book it off work. George would love it!! |
Not sure what date but i think the best month would be may/june time. Probably june. Is george the dog in your profile pic? How old? So cute!!! It will probably be weekend or school holiday time as ill be just leaving 2nd school I will PM all the UK folks as soon as we figure a date I am determined to get lots of sheepies this year!! |
Thanks! He's 13 weeks on tuesday. I just hope he's learned some manners when we all meet |
We are still up for it Sam, count Tuesday and me in! Kayles K, where abouts in London are you? We could have an interim London get together - we're North London! |
Been rethinking the whole beach day out and what beach we could go to. Llandudno is in wales, or Great yarmouth is in east anglia, mom suggested weston super mare. Im thinking of places that we can all reach without having too far to travel. Llandudno west shore would be a perfect dayu out for the dogs. The beach http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=llandu ... ,r:8,s:112 is amazing and .... there is the great orme!! We could go walking up there and theres a cafe at the top!! It would be a great day out. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=great+ ... ,r:11,s:10 Heres some pics of the last time we went, bloo loved splashing in the sea with shadow. As to the date / month i havent a clue, i dont even know what beach is best. I need UK peoples help!! llandudno seems to me the best dog friendly beach anyway. I am finishing school may, june time so it either has to be april or july, september time. It would be weekends as thats the only time i have off lol ANYBODY want to give any ideas, all are welcome!!! I cant do this alome!! x sam x |
I love your pictures Sam. Bloo looks like he's having a ball with Shadow. Weston-Super-Mud (I mean Weston-Super-Mare, but it is a very muddy beach!) beach is a no go for dogs in the summer. Tuesday and I were there last year, but found a great beach just down the road at Brean where you could run/walk the dogs for miles and park on the beach. There are lots of camping and caravanning sites as well as holiday camps with mobile homes to rent. I'm happy to go wherever as long as it's a weekend or school holiday and like Kaylesk says we arrange a date soon to allow people to book time off work/make arrangements etc. |
Oops! That's me I wasn't logged in!! |
Ohhh I'd love to go with the 3 hounds, however, Wales is slightly tooo far for me as I live in Essex. Although depending when it is I am sure I can work around the distance and get time off if we are meeting on a week day - looking forward to hearing details. |
Wales is a bit too far for us too but I could make Essex! My two came from Essex - they are Wildahar girls - how about your 3? |
Sorry im not logged in either, in a bit of a rush. We will have to find a beach thats close to everyone!!! I will leave it to you guys. I thought of essex beaches or somewhere on the east coast, all depends we have to do it now rather than later as people have to book work off etc... Let me know if anyone finds some good doggie beaches. Some beaches are non dog in summer, so itll have to be before in april or may time, still cold but still be great to see you all!! |

My three well Lincoln is related to Kenley (Sixpence) - they are brothers and their dad is a dog I have admired and fallen in love with since I first saw him at a show. Tia - you woulnt know her lines. Esher - I bred her and Tia is her Mom and her dad goes back to the lines I had as a child. A meet in Essex would be great - I would have no idea of a location - I guess one of the parks? Looking forward to it - may be able to get some friends to join who own sheepies but arent on the board. |
Not logged in again. Essex is far for us but we are willing to travel the distance to meet new sheepie people!! Been rsearching beaches in east anglia. Essex and norfolk areas, anyone know of y dog friendly beaches in east anglia. Cant wait to find out where we can all go, when i find out a place then more details will follow, but i havent a clue where to go yet lol |
Brancaster and Old Hunstanton beaches are both lovely and allow dogs in the summer. There's also a nice dog friendly pub in Old Hunstanton that does nice food! |

Both sound lovely to me. I like the sound of a dog friendly pup in Old Hunstanton that does nice food - thats all we need is good food, good wine/soft drinks, lots of space - with good company and the dogs. What more can we ask for?? Just let me know what date you guys are working with as I can try and work around you if its a working day. Hopefully the date wont full on a show day now that the showing year has started! |
old hunstanton sounds good if theres a dog pub too!! I can do weekends, as im at school all weekdays. Saturdays and sundays are best for me Depending which month etc.. you lot can decide that lol |
We are still up for this and are happy to travel to Wales. Essex is much nearer, but we have just bought a caravan so will be able to stay for a weekend almost anywhere! (Scotland might be a bit far, but we'd go virtually anywhere else!) |
