I'd take her to the vet to eliminate any medical issues. Luna peed inside on Sunday, which isn't like her at all. A trip to the vet today showed the beginnings of some medical issues, so I'm glad I didn't assume it was behavioral! Why not see if your vet can fit you in before the holiday? |
I have to agree with Allison's suggestion to check this out with a vet because I have learned over time to always, always, always look for a medical issue FIRST when behavior suddenly changes. If that can be ruled out as a cause, then look at other possibilities. Linda Z |
And in the meanwhile - go back to basics. Crate or directly supervised at all times. Frequent trips out to potty - and stay out until the deed is done. High praise/reward for potty outside. Good luck! BTW - I had to chuckle at the cold weather mention...that would be a nice day for here |
I agree...you need to rule out any possible medical issues...Also...is there anything new or different going on? New people in the house? New house? New hours at the job? New baby or another dog? Sometimes stress makes dogs do strange things... How is the poop? Is it soft? I would be sure to go outside with her when she has to go and make sure she goes and reward when she does...But I would definately see the Vet in case its medical...parasite or something... |
