Too bad the technology hasn't evolved yet, or at a reasonable cost, to have an implanted chip. The GPS collar would be too easy to remove if a dog was stolen or even if the collar came off accidentally. |
I think this is a good idea overall, since it seems much more helpful in finding a lost dog than a microchip or tattoo. It might be helpful if you have a dog with a tendency to wander, but if someone steals your dog, they're just going to remove this collar anyway. Not sure it would work for us, as Oscar generally doesn't wear a collar unless he is being walked or we are traveling somewhere with him. Cool idea, though. Laurie and Oscar |
