We had a wonderful weekend. Kristine was nice enough to let Chewie and I stay at her house - thanks! It was great hugging all the dog family, playing with puppies, giving them baths, getting awakened at 3:30am.... It was a great OES get together! There were a total of 8 OES running over the 4 days of competition. Chewie and I entered Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We were in Open JWW P - with one leg going into it. My rookie handling was all that was holding us back.... poor dog! My goal was to get my handling act together and get DONE with Open! We already were in Exc Std A preferred, so just running and getting some legs was the goal there. From Friday - here is the link to our 1st Q - Open JWW for our 2nd leg: Note at the end how HAPPY he is - many of you have just seen his calm and well behaved side....lol....his inner crazy OES comes out. Jump to Sunday... (we NQ'd both runs Saturday, but video may be posted later...they weren't THAT bad...lol) Here is the JWW to Q, get 1st place and finish his Open title - And the last run of the weekend - Exc A Std preferred - finally a Q on the 3rd try for the weekend! I played it totally conservative (and he was tired from the whole trip and long weekend)and went for the Q instead of speed. It worked - we got it and 1st place. The rest of my class NQ'd, so I did make the right choice All in all, it was an excellent weekend. Good friends, good dogs, puppies to spoil, winning the decorating competition, finishing a title, 50% Q rate, great travel weather (6 hours driving time for us each way)....stellar!! I will be uploading some pictures soon too! |

I love watching him do the weave poles. So focused! Congratulations. So much agility goodness happening lately to our sheepie friends! |

He is so serious with them.....it drives me NUTS! But looking at the good - he is dependable and rarely misses the entrance or pops out...just slow, slow, slow. Gotta love my hard working dog! |
Awesome videos, Dawn. Thanks so much for sharing them. Chewie tries soooo hard to do everything right. He is such a GOOD BOY. I love seeing how happy he is doing agility. He is one in a million. -Linda Z |
