Can a mod help me put the widget up? I can't figure out how to do it |
I did it, woo! Now we can all track progress on here, though you should click everyday to read about the new Sheepie of the day. We're off to a really slow start, I hope everyone considers kicking in at least $10 so we can ensure MOESR can thrive next year! |
Thanks SO much for putting this together, Heather!!! We really appreciate your coming up with this idea and going to the effort of implementing it. Not only is this an opportunity to donate a little something to needy OES rescue dogs at Christmas, there are also some PRIZES involved! Donating is like buying a raffle ticket, just check out the Chip-In link. Speaking of raffles... there may be time to finish a teddy bear sporting a rare hand-spun, hand-knit OES hair sweater for this! |
Done! For 2 reasons - it's a fantastic rescue that needs the funds, and it was Nita who found my Sammie for me! Hope you make your goal! |
If by chance, I win anything, please keep the prize and donate it to any future raffles you may hold.. |
VerveUp wrote: If by chance, I win anything, please keep the prize and donate it to any future raffles you may hold.. I donated earlier tonight, and said the same thing in my attached note. |
Done!! |
On the second day of sheepsmas.... http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas |
Woohoo, we're still on track to meet our goal!!! Read about Manny and his new family on the third day of Sheepsmas: http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas |
OES people are the best!!! Thanks so much to all of you who have donated and especially to Heather for setting this up for us! Nita Midwest OES Rescue |
i couldn't figure out how to write you i too do not want the prize maybe if no one takes the prizes put them on ebay |
I like the photo for today's Sheepsmas story- the little gray kitty reminds me of our own Mirth! |
On the fourth day of Sheepsmas MOESR gave to Boo... a chance to find a new family! Boo's medical bills totaled over $1,000, can you donate to help us get to $1,000 today so MOESR can rescue another Boo in 2012? http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas |
I donated the other day and same goes for me, should I win a prize, keep it for the next raffle or however you can raise more money with it. Cindy |
I love these success stories and just posted the link on FB rarely post but when I do it is just for such great stories of the helping hands out there |
Awesome, thank you for reposting!! It really really helps, the more exposure we get the more chedda for the sheepies! |
On the fifth day of Sheepsmas.... we have a superstar posted today! Break out those checkbooks because it's going to take a lot of milkbones to convince them to take another Rude Dog http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve-days-of-sheepsmas |
Yay for Rude Dog!!!! |
Wow! What a transformation!!! The credit for Rudie goes to Heather, who found him in the shelter and saw great potential in him. Special thanks to Laurie Marie, our fabulous foster/professional groomer in northern Indiana. More thanks to everyone who has donated so far. Stay tuned for the photos and bios of seven more MOESR dogs before Christmas Every dog is special to us and each has a unique story to tell. |
It's the sixth day of Sheepsmas and we have another adoptable! Read about handsome Beryl.. http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve-days-of-sheepsmas Also, this is the halfway point and we're a little short of our goal. Can you help us get to $1250 today? If you already donated, please share with friends! |
On the seventh day of Sheepsmas MOESR gave Prudence a life free from the puppy mill! Read about this mill mama and her new life. http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas We were $10 short of yesterdays goal, and today we need to get to $1,456 to stay on track. Please consider making a donation to help sheepdogs in need. It's hard to imagine it, but OES do end up abused, neglected, in shelters and in mills. Help pitch in to make sure we can save all that we can! You'd be surprised how far your $10 can go when we come together as a group! |
Well, I clicked the link to find out how to donate and ...how can I not now?!!! There is another sweet Prudence out there!! Isn't it funny how you think you have this great "original" idea because of what a name means to you...and low and behold...there is other great minds out there too . I will show this site to Pru's grandma when she gets here today...she won't be able to resist I hope you guys reach your goal and thank you for doing what you do!! |
Oh wow, two OES Prudence's? That's awesome! Thank you very much for the donation. Today is the eighth day of Sheepsmas and I challenge you all to click the link, look into Sassafras' soulful eyes and not donate http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas |
I just went on it and donated a little. You are angels for all of the good work you do. I will pass it on to others I know. Carley said every dog needs a forever home no matter where they came from or how old they are. |
THANK YOU! Even if you think it's just a "little something", I guarantee it adds up and helps immensely! |
I've been tweeting the link; hopefully it helps! |
It's the ninth day of Sheepsmas! (And tonight marks the beginning of Sheepsmakah ) http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas |
Thanks so much for all the great work! I just donated...If I win, please keep the prize for future raffles, fundraisers, etc! Thanks again and happy holidays! Kate, Joseph, Sam, and Nola! |
HeatherRWM wrote: It's the ninth day of Sheepsmas! (And tonight marks the beginning of Sheepsmakah ) http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas And today, the ninth day, is my foster girl BUNNY!!! I donated today for the Bunster!! The day after we got her and shaved her smelly, nasty pelt of hair off. Can you resist those eyes?? |
Bunny must have been a popular lady because lots of donations rolled in on her day! Today is the tenth day of Sheepsmas, read about Pippen who became homeless with his previous owner. http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas |
wow! Only $75 to make your goal!!!! |
It's the eleventh day of Sheepsmas and Ralphie, a senior boy, is looking for foster or a forever home. We are SO CLOSE to our goal! Let's exceed it! http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas |
I made a donation, wish I could give more, these are such sweet and heartwarming stories! |
What is the donations total so far? When I click on the link it still shows the amount from days ago. |
It's updating for me, shows as $2455, so $45 to go! |
Every little bit helps. If 100 people donate $20, that's a whole lot of money - it's strength in numbers not necessarily dollar signs! Chip-in can sometimes lag, the total I have is $2475, so we are $25 away from our goal... but ya know I don't think anyone would mind if we exceeded the goal |
HeatherRWM wrote: Chip-in can sometimes lag, the total I have is $2475, so we are $25 away from our goal... Must be my computer or network. It has been showing $810 since, well probably since it was $810 |
goal reached You can still donate through tomorrow night! |
Merry Sheepsmas, everyone!!! |
MERRY SHEEPSMAS! Last day to donate! http://midwestoes.chipin.com/the-twelve ... -sheepsmas |
Thanks to everyone involved. You have all made a difference to so many lives. Merry Sheepmas back at you! Woof from Merlin, Panda, Gilligan and Snoop Meow from Mama Kat, Daisy, Paris, Dusty, Sable, Lil Girl, Pheonix, Jude, Petunia, Micky, and Katie Wiggle noses from the buns - Moppet, Olympia and the four brown babies Squeaks from the Guinea Pigs Chico and Stevie Cluck Cluck from Abby, Betty, Cyndi and Dorothy |
Thank you Marianne and gang! Last call for donations! Chip-in ends at midnight tonight. Check out the cute holiday card on the page |
We can't thank everyone enough for making our Twelve Days of Sheepsmas fundraiser a success! The outpouring of generosity has literally brought tears to our eyes. In a time when funds are especially tight, people have continued to donate because they love Old English Sheepdogs and believe in what we do for them and their families. Another big Thank-You to Heather for everything you did to organize and manage the Chip-In. We also want to recognize OES.org, (of course!) MOESR Volunteers, Friends, Facebook Friends, Fans of Midwest OES Rescue's Facebook Page and OES-List-ers who helped, along and the Adopters and Surrendering Owners of dogs assisted by MOESR. Even those Families who were able to KEEP their dogs with a little encouragement from MOESR Volunteers. You're all the BEST! Beryl, #6 of the 12 featured dogs, is going to meet his new family next week! Seems he really has gotten his Christmas wish. Here's Beryl on Christmas morning with his new tug toy. He's decided it's more fun to wear like a fancy bridle than to tug with, or because nobody can steal it this way: Hope all your Holiday wishes come true like Beryl's have and that 2012 is the best year ever! Nita, Nancy and the Volunteers of MOESR Midwest Old English Sheepdog Rescue, Inc. http://www.midwestoesrescue.com |
That's great news for Beryl!!!! Cindy |
