It took about a year to get me to stop sleeping in the family room. No one regulated that I sleep there nightly but I would make my way there each night and settle on a comfy dog bed. My brothers slept in the living room. Then I decided I liked sleeping with my brothers so I made my way to the living room and you'll usually find me sleeping next to Panda. He's the same age as me! For 10 year olds - we're still pretty active! He, more than me, as he's only got mild dysplasia while I have severe but I still manage to get around. I've also got a new BFF and his name is Picasso! I first met the little tyke when mom opened the foster room door and placed a baby gate at the door opening. His mom, sister and himself were with us since he was six weeks old but we never met face to face until he was a few months older. The SPCA (same place I came from) had to shut down for weeks when the staff and animals came down with Ring Worm. Luckily my feline friends were exempt as they had been in moms house prior to the outbreak. However, that meant we had them for longer than usual as there was no place for them to go since all adoptions were put on hold. I'm not complaining as these little guys keep me entertained. Picasso especially likes flicking a ball in my direction and then watches me chase it. He then chases me! My brothers like them too but I have a special relationship with my little guy. (They all have their own favorite cats) Now I do too. I give the little guy kisses and he seeks me out. I'm still eating well, enjoying my marrow bones, and enjoy a slow meandering around the yard daily as well as cuddling with my brothers and my little feline friend. Well that's it...thanks again everyone for giving me a second chance. Life is good! Gilligan |
