| Happy Turkey Day to everyone! I'm actually going to celebrate this year! Usually Dean is working, his days off right now just happen to be Wed/Thurs so he is home! So, we will be eating Turkey with everyone else. And pumpkin pie... which we call Christmas pie, as my daughter when she was little said she didn't like pumpkin pie. So, we renamed it, had her try some, and she loved it!  Thank you sheepies for the lovely holiday pics. Your mommiesdo the neatest things! Blessings to all- |

| Thanks for all the great wishes - and sending them right back at you!! I have today off, but not all family members do. We are getting together for a suppertime dinner with all the kids and grandkids, so it will be great! Todd does the turkey...but he had a last minute decision he wants it to be a turducken again this year...so he's out on the near frozen lake trying to get a duck.....  edit: no turducken...there were only swans this morning.  |

| Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. It was rather sad here, our youngest son and some friends got together instead of him coming by us. A very good friend of theirs commited suicide last Friday and they are having a terrible time accepting it so they felt they wanted to be together instead of having a celebration. |
| I'll do a post T-Day meal post on this thread. I hope everyone had a great time with who ever they spent it with. My first smoked turkey in the new smoker was a hit! Just enough smoke flavor. My son smoked a ham that was perfect too. His wife made my favorite - Pumpkin pie!!! I love Pumpkin pie. Needless to say, everyone ate just enough to not be able to move for a short time. | I hope everyone had the day they wanted. It was mild here, so I cleaned Bob's stall and rode outside. Then home for a nap and made dinner for friends. There were 4 of us and we had a really enjoyable evening. I have today off so am taking a road trip to the new saddle shop that opened 30 miles away. I don't need anything, but heck, I can window shop. |
