I finished it a couple days ago - are we ready to discuss?? |
I finished all three |
I'm not sure if anyone else is ready to discuss yet...Let's wait a few days and see who else joins in...I don't know about anyone else, but I read the Hunger Games in like two days! |
I'm sorry that it is taking me a while I've been super busy with my mil visiting and my sil's baby shower. I am hoping to finish tonight or early tomorrow. I love it so far! |
I haven't even gotten the book yet but I can read it when I get it and will just stay off the discussion. |
I read it in one day - now Todd is going to start it, before I return it to the library. I have the other 2 in the series on request. |
Ready when the group is. |
You all finished the three books?! I'm barely half-way through with the first one. And I have to admit, it is captivating. Start the discussion, I'll chime in when I'm done |
I had them on audio and travel every week so during commute and plane rides it was fairly quick. |
The books are addictive. I went out to get the second as soon as I finished the first. Then, the third, which fortunately had just come out. They go very fast. It's so easy to get drawn into that world. |
I finished hunger games this morning and I mediately went out to get catching fire (book 2). I am really enjoying the books. I am eager to hear what everyone else thinks of the first book. When can we start discussing it? |
How about we start discussing over the weekend? Although I did read all three books, and we will only be discussing The Hunger Games, I have some personl issues here at home I need to tend to. My husband might need some emergency back surgery and we have some tets and MRI's and doctors appointments coming up the next day or so...He's okay. Has been through this before but he is currently in some pain and not very plesant! Anyway, we'll been done with all the testing , etc by the weekend and I will be able to start discussing...Okay? |
Have you guys seen the new movie trailer yet? It looks soooooo good. It got me excited about the story all over again. |
Weekend sounds fine, but I am at work all day Sat. so wont' be 'around.' Hope your hubby's tests all come back good and that he's set to rights soon. Crabby hubby is no fun and neither is being in pain. I have seen the trailer: it looks really good. I am a fan of Jennifer Lawrence from Winter's Bone (another good book made into a film) as well as some of the other actors. Hope this is a good adaptation and that it does well enough to get the other two films made. |
The last time i got psyched about a book to movie was Eragon and it sucked. I will say the trailer looked really good though. |
Just finishing the third book. I've enjoyed these books more than I would have ever thought I would. Definitely a pleasant surprise. On a side note... "Cashing in on the full metal trend is the Hunger Games franchise, while will release a line of nail polishes in 2012, just in time for the movie's anticipated March 23 premiere. China Glaze has come up with 12 colours that range from Primrose Pink to Heat of the Moment, a metallic gold/bronze mix that is said to be inspired by the costumes worn by Katniss and Peeta in the arena. There is also Catnip (a sparkly silver), We Could Run Away (a shimmery green) and Baker's Son (a deep brown). |
Ha ha, they don't miss a beat to make a profit! Wonder if the top baby names for babies in 2010 will be katniss and Ru! I would hate it if my parents named me Katniss! |
