North Texas Playmate
Anyway, Dexter is almost 11 months old, intact, very playful and energetic though not aggressive at all. He thinks he is the only one of his kind in existence. He really needs the kind of play that only another OES can provide. We live 20 miles west of downtown Ft. Worth and can travel almost anywhere in the DFW area, any day of the week. His Mom still works so if it is during the week it will just be us two guys. We know of only 1 dog park; on Beach and I-30. We have been to it during the week and had a good time though Dex was pretty shy. It is reputed to not be a good place on the weekend primarily due to the two-legged visitors. We are open to suggestions of where to meet. We've never had a canine play date and aren't sure how to do it. He has not had a cooperative canine playmate since he left his brothers and sisters at 9 weeks, some OES nearby must want to expand their friend list. |

| Vance, (great name by the way!), The section you're looking for is the next main group down from where you did post. If all else fails, post your stuff on the General Chi-Chat where I think most of the traffic is anyway. If I were closer, I'd be wanting to meet you and Dexter. Keep with it. We recent found two other sheepies a mere 5 miles from us. We meet up a bout once a month if not more often. One spring hits, I'm sure it will be more often. So hang in there... I'm sure we have others in your neck of the woods. Vance |

| Well, that was a month ago and some of the school schedules may be lightening up a bit. How late is it still daylight down there? I know it starts to get dark pretty erly up here, like around 5:30-6PM and then it's DARK by 7PM. this may limit the numbers that can come out to play on weeknights. Keep at it man, it'll happen. We sheepie keepers are a tough bunch to keep down. Vance |
