Keeping hair out of eyes...

What do you use?

Hair bands? Clips? Special doggy accessories?

When Dexter's hair started falling in his eyes but was too short for bands we used 1/2" hair clips, one over each eye and sometimes an additional one in the middle.

He is 10 months old now and the hair on his head is about 5-6" long (I made the mistake of clipping his fall at about 5 months) so we use 2 covered pony-tail rubber bands. His hair is not quite long enough to do a good job with one band. My wife will put doggy mousse on his snout sometimes since that hair has a mind of it's own.

I am quick to correct people; my male dog does not have pony-tails, he has top knots. :D
I had the same issue not long ago: http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=34856 There's a picture at the end with Benson in hairclips.

Her hair is just about long enough for pigtails. I put three of them in last night, and she's done pretty well with them so far. But the hairclips still work really well.
Charm wears bands but has clips too. I use the horse braiding bands that someone here recommended. They hold so much better. We had to use a bit of mousse too, as the snout hair is just wild. I'm at a loss with it. :(
I had no idea about the doggy moose. I'll have to give that a try on all those wild, little hairs that stick up in her eyes.

Around here they are some times known as top knots, some times horns, depending on the critter wearing them ;-)

Oh I just had to laugh
I am a grooming flunkie but, we tried two with Finn when he was a pup and I will say they were horns

Then our foster Cagney must really be embarassed to see this!

Good Luck with whatever you choose! I should read this grooming section more often!

BTW...cute baby you have!
We also affectionately called them giraffe knobs!

Chewie's in the double stage after his recent haircut...so he's got them a lot lately. One topknot just doesn't cut it for REALLY needing to see - like being lead dog running the team, or doing agility. Seeing becomes very important!
