Oh No, we have tons of Halloween candy left

My husband aka "the big kid" loved giving out candy to the little kids. Even giving each kid 3 pieces of candy each we still have 2.5 bags of the huge double bags of candy from Costco left. I think there's something like 150 pieces in each bag. 8O

This does not bode well for my figure :!:  :bulb:

Do stores take food items back?

:lmt: If only sheepdogs could eat candy, well then there'd be no problem.

We typically have 2-300 kids stop by and this year we too bought a little more than normal, (five big bags from Sam's I think). We ended up with about a full bag or a little more left over. For us it's no big deal. Both Jen and I maintain a large candy jar on our desk. She's an accountant and I'm an IT tech so we both have co-workers in and out of our offices all day. We'll have some pretty happy co-workers for quite some time.

I also took two bags to the office.
We only get the grandkids, so candy was bought according to G and G's preferences!
At least it was bought in moderation. I'll be taking the last few pieces to work as dessert in my lunch tomorrow!
Bah, I have a bunch left over too

Ive just upped my work outs to every day instead of every other day. If there's candy in the house, I can't say no to it.
Put it in the freezer, buried under something else and forget about it. If you must "remember" it, first divy it up into smaller Zip bags, then freeze. Some next June they are a great surprise. or you could save them for next Halloween

If you have real will power, you'll march the bags to the garbage can and dump them now!
Just move near illegals. We barely had anyone take the candy we left outside and it was 8 huge bags. Well we left it outside and around 9 ...just like last year ...they have their parents drive the kids around in trucks and empty our entire bucket of candy into a big duffel bag. Classy. I am glad the candy is gone but I would never teach my kids to do stuff like that.

Usually we give it to mr. j's office or one of his co-workers gives it to lower income kids (involved in his church that he runs at home).

A lot of grocery stores (and some dentists) are taking the candy back and giving you money per pound or giving you healthy treats for the bad ones.

That's just sad!
Surely there is a charity that will take them? How about the local children's hospice or adoption centre? Failing that, I'll give you my address.. I'm sure I can find a loving home for all that candy mmmmmmm  :D
