I've had a busy six months. Eye problems have left me at times unable to see. However, the last news from my very uncommunicative ophthalmologist is that my eyes have improved! Also my spinal problems have for some mysterious reason improved as well. Until today that is. I was on my way to the dog park which is all down steep hills etc. due to the topography. We came to a cross walk and the car ahead of me slowed and stopped as I did but unfortunately the twit in the SUV behind me didn't! I saw the SUV in my rear view mirror advancing and then there was that awful sickening thud. Willoughby was OK as he had his harness on and I had my seat belt on but that didn't stop the impact from having it's usual effect! On my back, and needless to say the car. My pride and joy: a Honda Civic I have had for less than two years. The rear bumper is bowed and the trunk won't close[img2][/img2]e : I've used duct tape to hold it down. We have a no fault system in BC which will look after everything but the problem is that my spine will revert to the state it was in after the last idiot hit my car. Curses! Curses! Curses! Willoughby was his usual stalwart self. We went on to the dog park and he exercised his new skill of chasing a ball and bringing it back to me. We had a nice walk but I could feel my back and legs as lead weights. Well, I will see what the insurance have to say and keep you posted. Good thing my heating pads are working! |

Sorry about your body and the car. Willo'by is probably a bit sore as well but hopefully not damaged. How will this affect your sight? Keep the boy close, sheepies want to help you get better! |
Well, that's some good and some bad. I'm glad you and Willoughby are both mostly OK, and the car will be too. Heating pads are a good thing! |
Great to hear from you! Please take care of yourself. Ice packs are good for some back injuries too. Hope your back and eyes heal soon! Hope Willoughby remains stalwart. |
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope u feel better soon. |
The car will be mended but I know the feeling. I've only been in one accident (someone hit me) and the wholet ime my car was in the body shop I felt like something was wrong. More importantly, I send prayers and healing thoughts to you, Lynda. Do what you need to do to get your spine taken care of. And give Willoughby a hug from me. |
Oh, boy! Please take care and accept my positive thoughts sent your way. |
So sorry that happened to you! |
Many thanks for your good wishes! Willoughby seems OK but I can really feel the effects today: stiff and sore. He may also be a bit stiff. We're going to the dog park and will have a walk as the sun is out and it's a beautiful day. The wind has come up and I'm hoping it will blow the leaves off my lawn. I have been using my heating pad and Ibuprofen. It's better if I keep moving in between rest periods. The car is booked in tomorrow at the collision place and I'm booked for Physio and the doctor next week. I was supposed to drive into the next region to visit friends today, but postponed the whole thing for the time being. I will keep you posted. |
