| Nothing. Size, knots, tails, no tails, clipped not clipped, personality, thats whats makes them all different. Theres nothing I would change about my OES. Every little good thing and every little flaw. Once they are gone, you would kill for just a moment even with their flaws. My OES may be small, she may like to jump over the back of the couch, or  JUMP on me every morning when my alarm goes off or like to sit on little dogs and play fetch. Her hair tangles around her nose and her hips and I wouldn't change a thing about her. |
| ^^^^^ I totally agree!!!!! From her piggydigging,toilet paper fettish and matting when she was a puppy.. to her inablility to realize that a plastic bag will not eat her up and spit her out...I LUV this breed!!! I am sure like me, you all get the same question when someone stops you on the street... "OMG!!!HOW do you put up with all that hair????? I bet you are always brushing it, right?" MY answer is????? about the shedding???? "Well, there is not a lot of shedding, and when there is hair on me I just wipe it off, it is not like a Lab where the hair gets into the fibers of my clothes. She dust bunnies over the house, but again, isn't that why they invented swifters????? and about the brushing???? "Everyone should brush their dog at least 2 -3 times a week...shouldn't they???? The only difference is..I can SEE the results of my brushing...(before and after)....." :wink:  There is nothing I would change about the Old English Sheepdog!!!!!! (well, if we are fantasizing, I would love for Heart to TALK to me about her 'costumes' and 'bling' she is urged to wear.....I am sure she has much better taste than her mom....  ...) |
| Oh yeah, there are things I would change: if I could I would magically erase all the structure and health issues. I'd make them sound in frame, eliminate eye and hearing problems, wipe out cancers, diseases, and revitalize thyroids, etc so our dear friend would last 20 years in sound bodies. As they age they'd only grow slow, not crippled, until one day they'd fall asleep, peacefully. |
| I'd extend the age- an average lifespan of 10 - 12 years simply isn't enough time! |
| I was gonna say what Susan & Alison said. I would add that it seems like they have weak constitutions. I would love for them to have more of an iron gut. |
| Two things: Longer lifespans and make their fur fall to the floor and NOT ever stick to my clothes. (I long for the first one....can handle life without the second one.) |
| I agree that I'd extend their lives but really wouldn't change much about them. I think that's why we love them so much, they are different. |
Longer lifespans and fewer problems with ageing.I can still see vividly my dearet Toby and Bentley as age took its tole. |
| I would eradicate hip dysplasia and give them a longer life span! Oh how I wish that were possible! |
