A bit of separation anxiety

Our boy Bert, although handsome and kind, tends to have some separation anxiety when I am away traveling for work (which is not too often). My husband is home and Bert still gets his walks and meals except he his taken care of by Steve and not me(the primary caregiver). Bert has been chewing at his paw and creating a sore on his paw.

Steve is a push over and last night in an attempt to comfort the dog has allowed Bert to sleep in the bed with him- at least he was in the guest bedroom. Bert knows he is suppose to sleep on the floor.

It is amazing how these sheepies control us. :wag:

Yup, that's a Sheepie...

Our Bentley was like that. He was a textbook 'mama's boy'. We always laughed because when we would come home, he'd be at the front window as we walk by. He'd watch us come up, ignore me as I walk by and then go nuts as Jen walked by. And to think we got him FOR ME!!!

Moe is more attached to me,even though my husband is retired and home all day. He KNOWS my schedule and starts pacing and looking out the window.Heaven forbid I get stuck at work..then he wants my husband to go and wait outside for my car..They train us so well..i agree
