Diane - I think most of us who have built equipment have looked at other equipment we've liked, photographed it (maybe) and copied it if it seemed doable. Some times successfully, some times less so.... I think Clean Run may have an equipment blue print book on their site http://www.cleanrun.com - that's just agility equipment, though, and designs change over time so if they still carry one and you're interested in it, I'd want it to be somewhat recent (not ten years old at any rate) I also recall searching the internet - some times people post designs that worked well for them and I've stolen many ideas over the years. I actually went to the AKC site, under their free downloads and forms. There is one for obedience and it is the official rule book. In it, at the end, has a suggested "plan" for making the broad jump and high jumps. Pictures also. I enlarged and printed it out and will let you know how I make out! By the way you can also print out Rally signs to practice from as well. |
