He appears as a lost dog who is reunited with the little girl who lost him during the tornado. She then sings the song Happiness (from You're a Good Man Charlie Brown). My husband Tim is also in the number. Here are some pictures from last night's final dress rehearsal: I am very excited because he joins the rest of our family in having been on the stage. The cast just loves him and he is getting lots of attention backstage. More importantly he is holding it together onstage. I wasn't sure how he would handle the orchestra being noise sensitive at times. |

I'll bet he gets triple encores! |
Break a leg!! Or three! Vance |
Don't I recall something about Heart being Harry's understudy for this? Look out Harry! You better hope Heart doesn't want to be on stage TOO badly!!! |
Can't wait to see this great play tomorrow!!!!! I am bringing a picture of Harry so he can Paw Print it for Heart!!! Then she can hang it above her tuffet (kind of like Katie Holmes did with Tom Cruz's pic when she was young...) Both Carol and I are very excited and promise not to scream..."Harry!!!! TREATS!" while he is onstage.... CONGRATULATIONS TO HARRY....AND TIM.....AND JUDI.... This may be the beginning of a new chapter in Harry's (already) very busy life!!!!!! |
What fun! Congratulations to you all! Maybe you an take a short vidoe of his appearance???? Good Luck in your debut Harry! |
AWESOME! Go Harry! Cindy & Teddy |
WAY TO GO HARRY |
Harry the Thespian.... What next? Too cool! kristine |
Yep, videos. In this case still pictures just don't do it justice. |
Well he did great on his first two performances even though he was aware of the microphones backfeed and not happy with the percussion in the number preceding the curtain call for his bow. He was also very aware of the audience even when we watched other numbers backstage. In fact I noticed him looking up at the speaker during tonights performance. I have a confession to make..... I did tape last night's rehearsal and thank goodness I did because of the problems with the microphones today. HOWEVER, I am waiting to post it until after Val has had a chance to see the show. I want Val and Carol to experience it live before seeing the taped performance. I was nervous as I stood in the back of the house waiting for him to come on because there are about two seconds where he is without the "safety net" of the leash being held. Tim lets go of him to run to Maggie and I worry that he will bypass her and take the side steps off stage to run into the audience looking for me. That is what he did the first night at practice. Of course it helps that Maggie has a treat to feed her "lost dog" but I have seen Harry bypass treats when he is upset. And loud noises upset him. I am also worried about him pulling Maggie down when they exit the stage because as Val will tell anyone - Harry IS strong!!! He will pull you over if he is trying to get to his Mommy. Poor Maggie is eleven years old and weighs next to nothing. And she takes him to his crate in the corridor because I don't want him looking for me backstage during his number. So I leave him and go watch from the back of the house with the rest of the audience. Sooooo ..... stay tuned for the critics' (Val and Carol) review of his performance and the video. |
Oooohhhh! I can't wait! Cindy |
Marvelous Harry!!! You look so handsome onstage!!! There must be a huge lump in your throat, Judi, to see him performing for such a wonderful cause. Harry could not perform without your wonderful training, take a bow, Mama!!! Good luck tonight, Harry!!!! |
I am very excited and can't wait to see our Har-Bear onstage as the poor lost dog. I am planning on taking pictures of our star but still have to wait and ask about the flash. However, I am told that HE will come out to greet his fans after the show, so one way or another, I will be getting some candid shots of Harrington. I am sure that any critic out in the audience, including Carol and me, will be in awe of this darling fluffy pup~~ UPDATE AT 5:00...... |
LOVE THE PICS JUDI! I loved the play. It was a wonderful story......very emotional.....and I loved the true stories they told of the tornado. I had goosebumps and cried through some of the scenes, which means it was a wonderful play! Val and I had a great time! |
Way to go Harry!!! Love Mr Harry |
