I agree 100%! I'll be 54 in December, I work swing shift and it gets harder to recover every year. I used to be able to recover from night shift after just one good night of sleep. Now it takes several and then I'm back on nights. No wonder I'm tired all the time! Cindy |
Yep your not wrong there. I could drink beer for GB but now the smell of it makes me fall over & doing shift work it gets harder even if I am sitting a office & doing IT support & its harder to lose those pounds |
Did you think you were immortal? AGE! Time now to be serious about heath: 1. Regular exercise, youth won't allow you to skip by. 2. Proper eating, young people's food (and drink) should be low priority. Now it's time to pay attention and upgrade. Booze takes a back seat. 3. naps.......a 10 minute power nap works wonders |
Boy, do i know what you mean. Saturday, we went for a nature walk at a Cider Mill, walked an airport, sat in the middle row of an airplane for 2+ hrs...had an emergency landing of the airplane in Jacksonville, Fl...had to walk that airport after standing for over an hour while shuttles were brought in...sat in shuttle for another 3 hrs while being shuttled to Orlando International, Finally got off and waited for our ride home, which was another hour in the van...finally arrived home at 5:00a.m. Sunday morning. I didn't even realize at that moment that I had been up for 24 hrs. Said "hi" to the girls and went to bed for 4hrs. In my younger years, I would have recovered in a day at the most...here it is Tuesday and I'm still tired and the pain which is in each joint of my body is finally subsiding some....maybe tomorrow back to normal. |
Just plain Susan, you just made me so depressed...reality check...yikes..I have a birthday coming up and I guess its time to admit, I'm not as young as I used to be!!!! And up for 24 hours! I would need a week to recover!!!! Now I know why you have to have your kids in your twenties and early thirties...Ha ha... |
i was never a late night person or party-er...i like BEING in bed at 930 so i can read till 1030 or so....its now starting to be that time of year where its hard to get out of bed...this morning for example.... |
What do you mean? I'm not immortal????? OK, I always knew I wasn't immortal. But definitely was sure I was immune to actual aging, which was nothing that a regular visit to my hairdresser wouldn't handle. I refuse to believe any differently! |
