Dennis rocks! Thank him and the local people feeding him the results, that is great! I've already checked it...can't wait for more results |
THANKS!!! This is great now that I have someone I know in this I can keep track of them. Vance |
The OESCA OES only agility trial is finished. Three qualifiers (I only know one name for sure - she texted me a picture with her ribbon ) but won't spoil the suspense. Check back at the results page in another couple of hours? And, yeah, Dennis so rocks. Kristine |
This is great! Thanks! Cindy |
Sunny with Luca and Ruby finished their HCT-s (herding on sheep capability test) with their 2nd legs, Tammy and Beauregard got a 1st leg in HCT, and Stephanie and Paislee Q'd in one of their agility classes and got a 1st leg in HCT!! Forum members are doing good so far |

It is really in my back yard but, with 9 fosters there is no option of leaving the house Good Luck to all! At least Marty is there so I can get play by play AND Dennis is doing an awesome job in keeping the OESCA web site up to date FAST! Thanks Dennis |
The Lambluv members did well also! Woohoo!!!! Robin |
I was contacted and asked to provide artwork that could be made into banners for this year's National Specialty. I was supposed to do 6 total, showing different aspects of sheepdog life, but with being sick and havign surgery unexpectedly, I was only able to get three done. I was asked to not say anything until the event started, so I think its safe to now post my artwork. I was really honored to be asked, and proud of the work I did manage to accomplish. I hope to still complete the remaining 3 themes: Rescue, Obedience and Rally. Maybe I can set up a Cafe Press store with the pieces, with a portion of the proceeds going to rescue! Would anyone be interested in something like that? Anyway; the three banners I was able to get done.... |
Very cool! What medium/fabric are they made of Allison? |

They are wonderful, Allison! My favorite's the herding design. |
Sharing a photo of GCH Lambluv's Gambolon Blue Thunder in the ring. Robin |

They're gorgeous....herding especially.... The rescue fundraising idea is very generous, but the theme....not very rescue oriented. Why not just do something commercial with them? That's not a crime and there is very little artwork of that caliber, or anything else for that matter, dedicated to conformation...you might just have a market there...you did a wonderful job I love the idea and yet I can't even "steal" it from the 2011 committee because it has their tartan logo concept stamped into it. Plus next year's OESCA National Specialty theme is "A celebration of breeders" There will be a definite puppy theme... totally different. You really have an extraordinary eye for the breed in action. I wish you would have been able to completely this project. It would have been an incredible keepsake. But I'm just glad you're feeling better now. Thanks so much for sharing. Kristine |

It'd be simple enough to design banners without the tartan if you needed some. Mad Dog wrote: Plus next year's OESCA National Specialty theme is "A celebration of breeders" There will be a definite puppy theme... totally different. I have 3 or 4 more that I was going to do, and didn't have the time to complete. One was actually a "Responsible Breeding" theme, with plenty of puppies on it! I'm still planning on completing the others- perhaps I can get a booth at next year's Nationals and have a selection of artwork available for sale! Mad Dog wrote: The rescue fundraising idea is very generous, but the theme....not very rescue oriented. I also have a Rescue oriented design- my concern is that it's a little sad to look at. So while it would make people think about the consequences of not being a compassionate and responsible pet owner, it doubt it would sell well on t-shirts or coffee mugs. Branding things can be tough. My thoughts are that things sold to benefit rescue don't have to be rescue oriented for a 501c3 to still benefit from the proceeds. As it is, Adam and I do a tremendous amount of fund raising all year long for rescue, while we are at the numerous comic book shows we attend professionally. All of the drawings Adam does in return for a donation to rescue are of super-heroes. None of the product we offer is dog oriented, but we still manage to get quite a lot of money into rescue bank accounts. Mad Dog wrote: You really have an extraordinary eye for the breed in action. Apparently the people over at OESCA have inquired to my being able to finish the last few, so they can have them for next year! I'm really glad that they liked them well enough to still want the rest. So now I have even more motivation to get the rest done! |

I don't actually know more. To be honest, I jumped into this without asking a lot of questions- I was just so excited to do these for the OESCA! Or maybe my health issues just got so overwhelming that I forgot what I was told back when we got this started. So I had to touch base with my contact person, Tammy, to find out some info just recently. But she says they banners were well received, and that they'd be glad to have the rest for next year. Mad Dog wrote: Would LOVE to work with you. Would also love for you to come up and have a booth. You do nice work! Kristine thanks! One nice side effect of having been sick for so long is that my work schedule is pretty wide open. Word of my successful surgery is spreading, and in the last few days a couple of job offers have rolled in, but I havne't committed to anything yet. So let me know if you had anything specific in mind!!! Personally, I'd like to try and apply to join the OESCA this year, something I've always meant to do but haven't gotten around to. And once I look into that, perhaps buying booth space for next year's National Specialty. I feel a bit lost artistically, and as I turn 40 today, I'm looking for a new direction to head in. Perhaps dog art would be a good route to travel for a while!!! |
Allison! I will happily sponsor you for OESCA membership. Dawn too, I suspect. Consider it done. And pls touch base with Tammy to see what she had in mind. Each specialty is a separate committee, but I think I can safely say we would be honored to work with you in any way you may see fit, and hoping that's what Tammy had in mind. Your work is just gorgeous. Kristine |
