I'm always so amazed and inspired at how dogs can adapt to whatever life has thrown at them when they're with the right family. I adore these extra special dogs.  I met a lab a few years ago that had lost her hind legs... one leg was amputated shortly after birth, the other had atrophied and became useless. So she walked on her front legs using her tail to balance. Such a happy and beautiful spirit. Her owner was an equine vet. Recently there was an OES puppy on Puppyfind that had lost part of her right front leg. I shared a link to a prosthetic site I had come across.
