Delightful story! |
Wow that is amazing and adorable! Shows what potential learning ability is out there. |
I had a sheep who was just that tame. She was a show sheep (a Suffolk), but she was like a dog. Her name was Penny. She walked on a lead (a loose lead too!) and was my buddy. I did a 4-H demonstration with her one year, and we won a trip to the MN State Fair. The Fairgrounds is right in St Paul. My dad had to park a bit away (several blocks) with the truck and trailer. So, we walked down the sidewalks in St Paul to get to the Fair grounds and my demo. It was about like trying to walk an OES - we were mobbed with people. I was almost late! She loved the crowds and all the attention and petting. I even made a harness out of baling twine one year and we picked up the mowed ditch hay and dragged it to the barn. She was game for about anything. Yep, one more example of my unusual childhood..... |

I figured Dawn would have a good experience with sheep to share with us. Love hearing the stories. |
Sweet story--I loved the "happy face" on the sheep as it walked on the lead! |
