He has started a new routine this past couple of weeks though. Wayne gets up first and lets the dogs out to potty. Then he opens the baby gate for Tiggy and she races up the corridor and takes a flying leap from the bedroom door to land on .......me! Ooomph! She flops on me and I scritch her tummy while Rowdy cat gets annoyed about the big hairy monster on HIS bed. I can't figure out why I've been late every morning since the routine started. |

Don't you love it when ONE time creates a new routine?? |

Hahahahahahahaha |
Simple answer, kick hubby out of bed earlier thus leaving you time to tickle Tiggy and not be late. I'm sure hubby will understand Harry and I have a thing: he's not yet into full time winter mode where he wants to sleep with me so instead--since last summer--I get up and move to DH's bed (after DH gets up) and Harry and MO climb up and snuggle with me. (DH's bed is lower to the ground than mine and climb-able by older dogs.) We spoon-snuggle and snooze for about an hour while DH showers and feeds himself breakfast. |

How can you do something one time and then you are trapped forever into repeating the behaviour? Because they're so darn good at training US. Wayne was throwing Tiggy's ball in the corridor today as we've had 3 days of rain and she's getting a bit stir crazy. She got sick of fetching for herself and started stopping half way up the corridor and dropping the ball in our bedroom. Wayne went and got it a few times and then asked me why she was dropping it in the bedroom, der?! He was a bit put out when I explained that she was training him to fetch. |

Did she give him treats or use a clicker? |
Neither, she used positive reinforcement and played his favorite game of watch the sheepie chase the ball. Note: not watch the sheepie retrieve the ball. |
Hahaha!! |
