new puppy
My problem is the pup!! She is a little terror. when i leave the room with my other oes she barks and cry's. She is fine once i am there. she also had a few growls at me when i went to tell her off. I never had this with my first oes. i have got a crate and she sleeps fine at night, its only when we leave her she goes crazy.  Any suggestions? |

| hummm.... She is new in your home and is very likely just adjusting to her new environment and family. Remember OES's are a herding breed and you and your 3 year old sheepie are essentially her sheep and she needs to be with you. She is only 9 weeks old and has been torn from her brothers and sisters. I'd suggest keeping her with you and not separating yourself from her for a little while as she adjusts and figures out that you really aren't going anywhere. Good luck!! | I know every dog is different so it sounds like you'll have to ween the new pup out of the room. I got lucky with Kenny as 2 days in he was fine being by himself. I've read on here that you can soley move them out of the room little by little. So maybe put them at the door today...then halfway out the door in 2 days and then all the way out in 4 days but they can still see you and then see if you can move them completely out of sight. Again, I'm just talking from advice I read on here and not personal experience. |
