Black spots under white coat?

Boni had a big bath today (he hasn't had one for a long time and needs to get ready for our Sunday family photo shoot. :D ) and when I was drying him (hubby bathed him and dried him) I realized that he had a bunch of black spots on his skin under the white coat. He always had black spots but I think he has more. He'd look like a dalmatian if he was naked! :(

Is he getting more spots? Is that normal?

Yep, normal. :D Mine have them too.
Yes, they do get more spots as time passes. Dahlia has a few on her belly that weren't there in the beginning and she used to have one black ear and one white ear (with 1 black spot on it) Now, she has 2 black spots on her white ear....
I was just thinking the same thing the other day about my
older one, Tucker. He really didn't look like himself with a
wet snooter, it is completely spotted. I see it even now with
a dry face too, the older he gets the thinner his fur is. I do
mostly notice it on his face though.

Yep and watch his toe nails.......they may turn dark as he ages. Also check inside his mouth, the gums or roof may also have some black spots. Pyrs are very often quite black under all that white and the spots continue into the mouth including the tongue.
As crazy as it sounds, my older boy (almost 12) is starting to lose the pigment on the edge of his nose! My vet said it's not uncommon and not to worry.
Oscar is also a Dalmatian in waiting. :D

Completely normal. My vet says it's simply a pigment change from sun exposure on an area of higher melatonin. The only problem I have is that it makes it much harder to find skin issues, and ticks.

Interesting! Thank you all for not making me worry. I thought there was something going on with him...the black spots and his fur is a little thinner too but he is only 4 and a half! He is still a puppy!!!! I only realized this when we moved here a year ago and I thought it was because of the move/changes. He is the one in our family who stresses about everything! If I don't sleep at home for a night, he has diarrhea the next day. If I'm upstairs and hubby is downstairs, he lays on the stairs. So, I thought all this stress might have caused these issues.
