So that starts tonight. Hopefully she'll enjoy it. Lisa Frankie and Mattie |

Pictures, pictures, I can't wait to see Mattie in a tu tu. She is such an expressive little girl that I can just see her looking so proud of herself. |
Good luck and have fun. I bet there is a lot of learning involved to get anywhere near a performance! |
Um, freestyle dance class? For dogs? Tell me about this-I am dying of curiosity!! |
Mattie loved it. It's the first thing I have ever found her too really like. We are the only ones in class so it's all about her. She picked up weaves right away. This is I walk and she weaves in and out of my legs. Yes Kim. Freestyle dance for dogs. There are no rules, you just can't hurt yourself or your dog. You do a dance routine(tricks) to music. They picked a song for us tonight. Pretty Women by Roy Orbison. So our routine will be done with that song. Should be alot of fun and bonding with Mattie. Lisa Frankie and Mattie |
How fun!!!! Geez, who needs men if we can even go dancing with our dogs now!! |
I think this is the best one I have ever seen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlKTYyjDwnI Rookie went to the rainbow bridge in 2008. After watching the tribute, on the side is the dance they did with the song from Grease. Man this makes me cry. |

Their routines are the best! I should try it - Todd always accuses me of leading...it's all the fault of Jr High dance classes in phy ed - I had to be the boy! |
I edited my post and Dawn posted inbetween |

Well how delightful!!! It looks like a very enjoyable way to build your bond with your dog, and also a good excuse to sometimes wear a cowboy hat! Let us know how it goes. |

I don't think people who haven't been there/done that can begin to comprehend the incredible bond you have with a working dog. But once you've had that you can't help but be profoundly affected by others loss as well. Incredibly well done tribute. Thanks for sharing. Kristine |
Good job Mattie!!! We need videos of Mattie the dancing sheepie. Beautiful tribute to Rookie. My favorite dancing dog is the merengue dog. |
I should not have watched this. The love between them was just unbelievable. Now, I'm a mess. |
I just love this video! The dip at the end is fun too! |
My neighbor does ballroom dancing with her dog. She, the human, actually gets dressed up in a gown and does a super routine with her dog. She gives classes too at our local club. It is so fun to watch! I think it does take a bit of training. The rountines may seem simple but its alot of hard work for dog and trainer! Sounds like fun. Can't wait to see the pix! |

That was amazing. Of course now I am crying buckets. You could just feel the loving bond between human and dog. Have fun and I can't wait to see the pictures. |
