Oscar the poodle is at the vets today

Oscar is very sick, looks like he ate a bunch of stuff he shouldnt, he already puke part of a sok and part of a dish towel. I never imagine that at his 7 years of age he will be doing stuff like this.

I took him to the vets yesterday and they did some x-rays and give him some medicine and told me to bring him back today, he wasent feeling really good last night so I took him back first thing this morning and he is having surgry right now.

I know it has not been long time since I got him home but it has grown on me and I am concern about his health, doctor told me that he is going to have to stay with her for a few days.

His blod work look really good and we hope that the surgry goes well.

Please keep him on your prayers

They eat strange things for strange reasons: boredom, fear/anxiety, tummy upsets........and just because they can. How very unpoodle like.......hope the Big O returns soon.
Poor Oscar. Thinking good thoughts for his speedy recovery.

Laurie and the other Oscar
I am so sorry Monica, I hope and pray Oscar gets well very soon. :plead:
The vet just call Oscar aka the goat made it thru really well, he had like 6 inches of cloth material in his intestins the good thing she sayis that was almost to the end,but it was stuck.

Now is just a question of recuperating and watch him so the goat don't eat anything else.

Thanks everybody for the good toughts and the prayers , everybody here at the house appreciated, thank you very much
So glad to hear that everything is going well. Sure hope he learns his lesson, wonder if he did that before you got him or this was the first time.
:clappurple: :phew:

I am so glad he is okay. Ben had emergency surgery (twice!) for eating the inedible. The surgeon was great - he warned us that once an "eater", always an eater. So we had to put everything away, immediately. Unfortunately, our guests didn't and Ben had the second surgery.
Ben hated the ID food, so we had to feed him the rice and chicken or hamburger for a week.
Get Well Soon Oscar!!!!!
Happy to report the Oscar the Goat is home and doing really well :clappurple: :clappurple:

Doc say that everything went really well, and that he will make a nice recovery :D :D She wanted to keep him, she say that he is a wonderful boy and very very loving

I missed Oscar's surgery scare.
Good to hear he's doing better. :clappurple:
Hope Oscar has a speedy recovery!
My first sheepie Simon used to eat cloth items also. Once a large wash cloth disappeared from the bathroom and he threw it up days later :phew: . It was tough keeping him away from soft, cloth items. He also used to eat the filling out of his toys so that was the end of stuffed toys for him.
Good luck with Oscar's recovery.
I am glad Oscar is doing okay. That is so scary.
