It did get a bit hairy during the storm. The Great South Bay was lapping at my door step but I refused to let it in! Our local fire department had to rescue an elderly women across the street and they came by boat!!!! Amazing to watch them going by on the street in a rescue boat with life jackets on...but we did it and doggys are all fine too.. Now if we can only get back power...Thanks again everyone!!! I am on my work computer so can't pull up the photos...will do once we get power at home... |

It must have been quite the experience. So glad to see you again, Diane!! |
Glad to hear you are OK out there. Can't wait to see pictures, I bet they are...interesting! |
WOW! That's an adventure and a half....! Glad you're all OK. Power back would be nice too. I spent almost two weeks in upstate NY without power after a microburst and it stinks. But great that house wasn't inundated with water Kristine |
I'm glad u didn't get any water in...that is the scary part. I was without electricity for 2 weeks after Charlie came through, not fun, but made it. What amazed me was how quiet it was outside without a/c units going or anything. |
Glad to hear you're OK Diane. So would you do it again? |
Kristine, You were here for the Labor Day storm of '98? THAT was one HELL of a storm!! |
Glad you are okay! I hope you get your power back on soon! Cindy |
Glad you survived Irene, "Goodbye Irene" From what we heard here the flooding after was worse then the actual hurricane.. Hope the power returns soon |
I am glad to hear that you and your family are ok and the doggies too. |
