My therapy dog friend Lynne had a 10 month old pup pulled from a kill shelter in TX, and is looking for a ride to MN for her! Here is some info: Looking for transport for "Oreo" 35-40 lbs. Border Collie mix from North TX to S. Central MN. This sweet girl loves people and dogs. She rides well in a car. She was pulled from an overcrowded shelter in TX and is in need of a ride to her forever home. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Please contact me if you know of anyone able to help! |

Phooey Donner's Mom We have one offer from Denver to MN (one of our Samoyed friends from the Twin Cities is heading out that way next week), so an option would be to get her from the DFW area of TX to Denver as well to meet up with them. Otherwise it's the full DFW to near me in Mankato, MN. Lynne is willing to drive - like to MO or so if someone can get her part way. |
I will message Heather now! Hope she can help! |

They only will transport spayed and neutered pets. Oreo was a pull on kill day, and will be "fixed" when she gets up here in MN by Lynne's vet. |
Is this posted on the OES.org Facebook page so that I can "share" it? I know a few people in TX who frequently travel to MN/WI and are dog people and would just like to throw it out there. Also, they have a large network. Betsy Always missing Bailey & Emmett |

None of them will faint at the thought of transporting an intact dog, though the bigger issue will be with her coming from a shelter and not knowing what she may have been exposed to there of infectious diseases and parasites. How long ago was she pulled? And has anyone spoken to Bette Green? Kristine |

How long ago was she pulled? And has anyone spoken to Bette Green? She was pulled this past Monday, and is staying in the home of a sympathetic BC person in the DFW area. The temp home loves her, only has good things to say about her, she plays appropriately with her own BC(s). No known health issues at this time. I have not talked to Bette. We have some Sammie people from the TC's (personal friend and her mom) going down next week from here to Denver and back...they have already volunteered to bring her back if someone can get her that direction. Also, if someone got her even partway up (MO, KS), Lynne herself would do the rest of the 8-10 hours. She is somewhat limited with a longer drive, as she has back issues (disability - Marines). Lynne has Abby - the lab/poodle who runs carting and sledding with us. Abby is a prison dog - Lynne got her from a KS prison program that trains and places hard to place dogs (Abby is black)...and a total sweetie She couldn't help she was a doodle reject |

Oreo is on her way!! I don't have all the exact details, but she's on her way (via ground transport) to Tulsa right now. Then she will be flying from Tulsa to MSP airport tomorrow!!! Lynne is driving up to the airport to meet her flight. I will post pictures as soon as I can!! |
coolio for oreo, i luv it. |
Oreo (or perhaps Piper?!) made it home to MN last evening, along with 2 other dogs pulled from kill shelters in Texas!! Piper is 2nd from the left - with humans Lynne and her room mate and friend Nate - and their 2 rescue and TDI dogs Abby and Rowdy. Abby's a reject lab/poodle who didn't get the "right" coat, Rowdy is a lab/catahoula. They will be teaching their new sister the ropes! |
