Hi. Mopsy is our nine year old baby. She will be ten on June 21st. The vet told us to return her when we got her because she was bred so badly - but we knew no one else would love her like us - so we kept her. She has severe hip displaysia and starting to get lame. We cherish every day we have with her. She has two human brothers, age 20 and 17, who are "not the boss" of her. (Can you say alpha dog?) She has her Daddy wrapped around her fuzzy paw and thinks Mommy (that's me) is Elvis (she idolizes me!) I had a sheepdog when I was a teenager and can't imagine having any other kind of dog! Though I love them all. I'm thrilled to find a website with other OES obssessed people. |

Welcome, SheepieMommy! Glad you found our little piece of sheepie heaven here. You'll be addicted in no time, just like the rest of us!
I'm sorry to hear about Mopsy's hip dysplasia. I know firsthand how debilitating it can be. Our Drez will be 12 in August, and she has it, too. She was a puppy mill puppy, but we got her as a rescue at 2 yrs old.
Are you doing anything to help Mopsy with her pain? I've posted so much about Drez and what we've done for her that I don't want to bore everyone with it all again. If you'd like to talk, please PM me.
