Ah, yes, the trolls. Why do you think I kept Sybil? She makes me homesick... And it really is that beautiful. I hope you get to go some day. Kristine |

That is EXACTLY what the trolls in the movie looked like! Has Sybil been in any films lately? Welcome to Norway Kim and Kristine! Hope you come and visit Oslo then and bring your OES-trolls with you. The Trolls is a nordic "thing"......it's in our old mytology: Jutuler and Jotner, and we think we see them outdoors in the forest and mountains: Draugen, Nøkken og Nisen, - only in our mind o'course. This is one of my favorites: Theodor Kittelsen: The Big Troll at Karl Johan (the main street in Oslo) Most people are afraid of trolls....Ibsen( in the drawning) is not. He has been digging enough in the dark side of his soul to get free from that fair. Grieg; Listen to Dovregubbens Hall (Dovregubben is a troll); And you might reconize the troll in your soul... |
I would love to see Norway, sweden (ancestors), Holland (grandparents came from), really all the northern european countries. Their beauty and history fascinate me. |
I am pretty sure that I have an inner troll. According to this movie we watched, trolls are real and your government is covering up their existence to protect you all from being afraid! |

Of course they are real. If anyone's covering up they're doing a rotten job of it because I met several growing up. They can also change forms and apparently know no geographical boundaries because since I moved to the US I've come to realize there are indeed trolls among us. Kristine |
Ok, they are real and all over the planet......aren't they I think I met this one in the mirror early this morning: Now I see this one in my mirror: |
Talking about norwegian music, Duke Ellington has made a wonderful version of Griegs Per Gynt! If you like jazz, I can recommend it; I just love it....and a lot of other tunes from the Duke. |
