Glacier, Great Pyr
Paul has taken her to be PTS. We will bury her here with all the other Pyrs and sheepdogs. She was at least 12 years old, maybe 13. Came to us as a foster, left for multiple homes before returning to us 5 years later grossly overweight, but happy to be "home." She was a playful pup, first with Sam and later Harry. Willful, yes. Loyal, extremely. Funny.....oh yeah. She had a wonderful sense of humor which will be sorely missed. She's the last of the polar bears......Great Pyrs. |

| Thanks Dave. I was hoping I'd get her cleaned up after that hallway photo.......but her refusal to be brushed was strong. Those black feet remained. Then yesterday she was back to being a mess......soaked this time. A Ha! I thought, with her unconscious or semi conscious I could brush her out. NOOO WAY........rising from near death that head came around, "What are you doing??" So she was never a beautiful white fluffy, clean, brushed out Pyr like the others. |

| Awww I am so saddened by the passing of your beautiful girl. She looks like such a happy puppy in that picture near the doorway. What a face! The picture of her sprawled sleeping and muddy has to be every dog's idea of heaven. I love that she did not allow her final hours to be spent being brushed. What strength! I feel for you. | Paul pulled out her medical bills.....she did have a hard time these last few years. I forgot all about the cysts on the tail (that almost cost her the tail) and her lower back. I convinced him not to total everything........no, no , no. Some things can't be measured in money. |
| I agree Susan, best not to know the damages. I guess we all blindly go into this, hope for the best and do what you have to if the time comes. |
